Swedish Silver Oval Table Garniture/Centerpiece by Carl Eldh 1906
Swedish silver dessert stand, of oval form with mining and agriculture scenes. Museum quality, weighing 214 troy ounces, by Carl Eldh in the Elmqvist style, three dimensional with depth of figurals. Carl Eldh was a very well known sculptor who studied in Paris from 1896 to 1903. Many of his masterpieces, similar to the item displayed, are exhibited at the Carl Eldh Museum. This masterpiece was born in Stockholm, 1906. It measures 13 inches in length by 6.7 inches in height and bears hallmarks as shown.
