Its simple elegant design is distinctive of this exquisite maker. Sciarrotta’s handmade silver was sold at high-end American retailers in the mid-20th century, including Georg Jensen, Cartier, Black Starr and Gorham, Bailey Banks & Biddle, and Shreve. His designs became known as “The Wedding Gift of Philadelphia and Newport” and he was often referred to as the "Modern Cellini."
