Redlich, sterling silver repousse bread dish or bowl in Art Nouveau style with ornate and raised floral and geometric motifs adorning this multilobe dish. It measures 14 1/2'' in length by 10 5/8'' in width by 2 7/8'' in height, weighs 22 troy ounces, and bears hallmarks as shown.
Ludwig, Redlich & Co., later Redlich & Co., was formed in 1890 by Adolph Ludwig, a former designer at Shiebler, and A. Alec Redlich, a diamond businessman. Ludwig left the company in 1895. The office was at 1 Silversmiths' Hall, Union Square, New York. The company was sold to Elgin Silversmiths in 1946.
