The silversmith A.E. Warner of Maryland was born in 1786. Some of his pieces belong to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He began work in 1805, having been trained by his father, a watchmaker and silversmith, and went on to work with his brother for many years, and alone, as well. In the end, his son took the reins, and he died while still actively working in 1870.
