French Silver Louis XV Tastevin Wine Taster
French silver tastevin or wine taster, possibly from the Louis XV era (1732), showcasing a profile view of Louis XV in a coin-like manner at the bottom of the small bowl. On the reverse, there is another motif with the Latin inscription: Benedictum Sit Nomen Domini which translates to Blessed Be the Name of the Lord. This exquisite piece measures 3 1/4'' in diameter (4 3/8'' with the handle) by 1'' in height and bears hallmarks as shown.
