Eben Cutler, coin silver goblet from the 19th century adorned with vine-like motifs, faintly gilt inside. It measures 6 1/8'' in height by 3 1/2'' in diameter at the top, weighs 4.6 troy ounces, and bears hallmarks as shown. This goblet could serve well as a Kiddush cup.
Eben Cutler was born in 1816 in Warren, MA. He became a silversmith and jeweler. He was a partner in 1839-1842 with Amos Cutler in Boston MA as A. & E. CUTLER. One of Amos Cutler's pieces is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Eben Cutler died in 1889 in Boston.
